One person was killed in an accident this morning on the Alaska Highway just south of Taylor.
RCMP say a pickup truck and a tractor trailer unit collided on the highway near the 228 Road around 4:30 a.m.
The driver of the pickup truck was killed, while the driver of the tractor trailer united was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The driver's identity has not been confirmed and the cause of the crash hasn't been determined, RCMP say.
The Alaska Highway has been closed to traffic in both directions while the investigation continues. RCMP say there are no alternate routes established around the scene, however, they are working to reopen the highway.
