The Prince George RCMP's serious crimes unit is continuing to ask for the public's help getting to the bottom of the disappearance and suspected murder of a local woman.
Specifically, it's asking anyone who may have seen the SUV Roberta (Robin) Marie Sims, 55, drove in early May, especially between Sat., May 6 and Wed., May 10.
"Although Robin's vehicle has been located by police, we believe that it was used in her murder", Sgt. Todd Wilson said in a press release issued Wednesday morning..
It's a red 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer bearing B.C. licence plate BH248X.
Police said numerous witnesses saw Sims during the afternoon of May 6 near her home at 3015 3rd Avenue and where the vehicle may have been during that weekend is of interest particularly given the rural and remote areas surrounding Prince George.
Anyone who may have information related to the investigation is asked to call Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be provided online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca, or by texting CRIMES using keyword "pgtips."
