It's finally spring and it's time to clean out those drawers.
Health professionals are asked to donate their gently-used scrubs to help raise funds for the College of New Caledonia's Making a Difference Bursary.
The scrubs collected will go on sale April 20 at the college's Gathering Place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with proceeds going to the bursary.
Since 2011 sales have provided bursaries of $250 each for five students in the health sciences who are in financial need.
The program is organized by CNC nursing instructor Nancy Esopenko who asks those interested in donating to drop off scrubs by Friday, April 17 at the CNC library, Lakewood Dental, or the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation office at the hospital.
All health professionals are asked to donate. The clothing must be washed and in good condition.
Scrubs, tops and bottoms, will be sold to students and members of the public for $5 each.
