Kings fall to Rivermen

Rivermen forward Torrin White, who notched the winner Thursday in a 5-4 double-overtime win over the Spruce Kings, beat Kings goalie Joseph McLeod to put Langley ahead 5:18 into the third period.

Donovan Shambeau and Marty Saharchuk also scored in the final frame for the Rivermen.

William Campion and Matthew Graham staked the Rivermen to a 2-0 lead in the second period, but the Kings fought back to tie it up in the middle frame on goals from Kyle Johnson and Adam Burnett.

But that's all the offence the Kings could muster as they were outshot 40-30. he win improved Langley's third-place Mainland Division record to 25-17-1-1, while the fifth-place Kings dropped to 11-31-3-1.
