VICTORIA — British Columbia has reported 468 new cases of COVID-19 and nine more deaths, pushing the death toll in the province to 2,290.
The Health Ministry says 87 per cent of eligible B.C. residents aged 12 and up have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, while nearly 91 per cent have had one.
There were 355 people in hospital with COVID-19 on Thursday and 110 of those were in intensive care.
A total of 21 health-care facilities have ongoing outbreaks, including five hospitals.
The province says unvaccinated people accounted for nearly 62 per cent of COVID-19 hospitalizations between Nov. 3 and 16, while fully vaccinated people made up 29.7 per cent.
B.C. has recorded a total of 214,150 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
