Dawson Creek opens 24/7 warming centre

With the centre activated, more resources, including space and staff, is available to carry the community through this cold weather

The City of Dawson Creek say it's activated its Emergency Warming Centre, posting details today on where residents can go to seek some relieve from the cold-snap facing Northern B.C.

"It’s been amazing to see our community pulling together over the last few days of this cold snap, with a few individuals and organizations in particular really inspiring the community to reach out and keep our vulnerable residents safe," wrote the city in a press release. 

With the centre activated, more resources, including space and staff, is available to carry the community through this weather, the release stated.
