SURREY, B.C. — Mounties in Surrey, B.C., say they are investigating reports of human remains in two locations but believed to be from the same person.
Police say the first discovery was made on Sunday when a person spotted remains in some bushes.
Two days later, officers were called to a site just over a kilometre away where more human remains were found.
Police say they have secured the sites for investigation by the Lower Mainland Integrated Forensic Identification Service.
The RCMP's serious crimes unit is working with the BC Coroners Service to identify the remains.
While the remains haven't been identified, police say they believe the crime scenes involve the same victim.
