There’s no reason to miss the bus, or your vote, two weeks from today (Oct. 7).
BC Transit, as well as handyDART services, will be free in Prince George on election day, set for Monday, Oct. 21.
"The free transit will help make it easier for residents to get to the polls and cast their ballots," BC Transit said in a release.
The city is one of eight local governments that have partnered up with the provincial transit system for the initiative.
Meanwhile, voters can already head to the polls and cast a ballot.
Voters can cast a ballot at any Elections Canada office any time before 6 p.m. local time on Oct. 15.
There are two Elections Canada offices in Prince George, located at 1600 15 Ave. (Suite 129) and 5787 Albert Pl.
Residents choosing to vote on decision day Oct. 21 must do so between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Advance voting days will be held Oct. 11 to 14 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m; check the voting ballot you receive in the mail for your riding.
