George Fox, Shenandoah and Sawyer Brown deliver a country music triple play at CN Centre

Hot country music on a cold BC night

Three stalwarts of country music took to the stage at CN Centre Monday night, serving local fans a tonic to get them ready for the long BC winter.

George Fox from Cochrane, Alta. opened the night to an audience of 1,400-plus.

Alabama's Shenandoah took the middle stint in the lineup and led the crowd through their hits.

Sawyer Brown, founded in Florida, led the night with songs from their 18 studio albums. The band has made the country charts more than 50 times, including three No. 1 singles: Step That Step (1985), Some Girls Do (1992), and Thank God for You (1993).
