An attack by a black bear at a remote work camp north of Prince George has left a man with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, the B.C. Conservation Officer Service says.
It said the attack took place on Monday shortly after 10 p.m.
The victim was a worker at the site and the bear was subsequently killed by another worker, the BCOS said.
All remaining camp employees have left the area and conservation officers are en route to conduct a forensic investigation and ensure that there is no ongoing safety risk.
Further information will be released as it becomes available.
