B.C. residents in an Okanagan city are paying less for milk than the national average, but still among the higher prices across Canada.

Field Agent Canada released its annual Canadian Fluid Milk report today (June 24), and it found that Kelowna pays an average of $4.85 for a four-litre container of two per cent milk.

The national average is $5.17, which is no doubt inflated by figures like the $7.33 consumers pay in Charlottetown, P.E.I. and $6.71 in Laval, Quebec.

Field Agent Canada conducted its milk survey at 174 retail outlets in 20 markets between May 22 and May 29.
