There’s a new Prince George professional wrestling league and they’re all about supporting those in need in the community.

Primetime Wrestling is the new Northern BC league led by Stuart Brown and Davy Greenlees, who are looking to bring a little excitement into the local sports arena in support of organizations that need some help.

The first event is scheduled for Friday, March 17 and Saturday, March 18 at the House of Ancestors where several matches will take place and the entry fee of a minimum $5 donation will go to the Prince George Crisis Intervention and Prevention Centre.

During this inaugural event, the first champions will be crowned for the organization with the newly minted Heavyweight belt and Northwestern championships up for grabs.

“If we were musicians, then we might organize fundraising concerts,” Brown, who has wrestled for more than twenty years across Canada as The Mauler, said

“But our passion is professional wrestling, and with our connection to some of the best wrestlers in Canada and the U.S., we see this as a great opportunity to put our expertise to work in support of Prince George.”

Both male and female wrestlers will appear at the event including Northern BC’s The Mauler, Slammer, Wes Barker and Steve Stone.

Other wrestlers scheduled to appear include ‘Mr. Beefy Goodness’ Vance Nevada, ‘Cougar Meat’ Kyle Sebastian, Kat Von Heez, and ‘The Vixen’ Jade. Former women’s champion and B.C. Indigenous Sports Hall of Famer Princess Delta Dawn is also scheduled to make a special guest appearance.

The events are sponsored by Canadian Tire and tickets are available for a minimum $5 donation (for each event) and can be purchased at Scrapbook Zone, 3899-18th Ave.
