Classic rock fans were served a three-course meal Tuesday night with Canadian rock 'n' roll heavy weights BTO, April Wine and Headpins playing CN Centre for the music-hungry audience.
Headpins opened the show with lead vocalist Kat Lawrence letting loose on their well-known hits and getting the full house up to an eager simmer.
April Wine followed and, despite the loss of longtime lead singer Myles Goodwyn, kept the tempo up and the crowd bubbling.
Headliners BTO brought it all home with Canadian rock legend Randy Bachman seated — the man is 81 years old — but still rocking his Gibson alongside son Tal on guitar and daughter in-law Koko on drums with Lance Lapointe on bass and Brent Howard filling the sound on keyboards and guitar.
