Photos: Run for Rural Medicine sees numbers double

The 21st annual event is organized by UBC medical students

Approximately 70 runners, nearly double the number from 2024, took part in the 21st annual UBC Run for Rural Medicine in Prince George Saturday, April 12, 2025.

The run is an annual fundraiser organized by a team of medical students from UBC’s Faculty of Medicine in Prince George, Vancouver, Kelowna and Victoria.

Proceeds from the four runs across the province raise funds for Hope Air, a charity that helps patients from rural and underserved communities access vital medical care by providing free flights and accommodations.

This year's goal for the run is to raise $15,000. The Run for Rural Medicine website shows the total raised to date is $13,780.14. To learn more about the run or to donate visit the website here: Run for Rural Medicine 2025 : Home.
