Are your little grey cells itching for a mystery to solve?
Then gather your team of amateur sleuths and head to Huble Homestead Historic Site this weekend for their Sherlock Saturday and Watson Weekend events.
Watson Weekend is a self-led, family-friendly excursion which involves finding clues and solving puzzles through the homestead site. Groups or individuals should check in at the General Store to sign up and collect their first task. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
“Trapper Joe McNamee has hidden his riches, but he's done too good of a job - now he can't find it,” Huble Homestead’s website says. “He's hoping some intrepid sleuths are willing to help him track it down. Get your first clue and spend some time trying to crack the case by following clues, finding evidence, and cracking codes throughout the site – don’t worry, the staff will be on hand to help with hints and pointers.”
On Saturday, teams will also be taking part in Sherlock Saturday – an exit-room-style timed mystery. Tickets for the event are sold out, but aspiring detectives can sign up for the waiting list by emailing [email protected]. The event will be held again on Aug. 26.
Huble Homestead is located 45 km north of Prince George on Highway 97. Admission to the dog-friendly site is by donation.
