Two Rivers Gallery is hosting a workshop on how to make chainmail bracelets and watchbands.

If you've ever been curious about how chainmail is made, a local armourer is hosting a workshop on the topic at Two Rivers Gallery.

At The Table: Chainmail with Kaos runs over two nights, Oct. 18 and 25 from 6-9 p.m.

Kaos Campbell will lead participants through the techniques used to make the flexible medieval armour, in this case in the form of a wristwatch strap or bracelet. Campbell will teach the traditional medieval method of weaving links of steel together. The watches themselves will have to be provided by the participants, or purchased separately at the event.

Participants are encouraged to dress up in medieval garb if they'd like.

The workshop is for people 19 and older, and costs $78.75. This includes materials and one alcoholic drink (mead or beer). Additional drinks (up to a maximum of two per person) will be available for purchase. Two pieces of photo ID may be required.

Registration will be cut off two weeks prior to the start date, allowing participants time to choose the colours they decide to use.

The workshop is one of several At The Table events coming up this fall.
