Chris Camilli and Scott Lapointe are in Stages a two-man band that will be entertaining the crowd at a Wing Ding at Coach's Corner Friday night.

It's a great time to indulge in 20 flavours of chicken wings while listening to rock classic with some modern tunes and a little country thrown in for good measure.

"We play a few times a month and things are picking up," said Camilli, who has been in this band for about a year. "We just played Coach's Corner a couple of months ago and they asked us to come back."

Camilli writes his own songs and so does Lapointe.

"We are individual writers and when we play shows together we back each other's music," said Camilli. "We're working on some new material right now and we're hoping to do a show of original music soon with more of a modern flavour to it."

Camilli said he finds life in general inspires him to write.

"I try to make my songs positive about life," he said. "Something I have been through that I can reflect on in a positive manner -- 'cause there's a lot of trouble in the world, you know? Especially lately. We are fortunate to be here. There's a pay off to being in the wilds of British Columbia."

As opposed to those in Japan that endured a massive earthquake on March 11, that was quickly followed by a devastating tsunami.

When people come to the Wing Ding they will hear a variety of music.

"We have a selection of 1,200 songs so people will hear everything from Elvis to Ozzie," laughed Camilli. "You can throw in some Nickelback, too. We play with a back track so it's like band in a box and it works out pretty good."
