Miracle Theatre adds shows after successful opening night

Extended run now means the two Norm Foster plays can also be seen April 24-27

Miracle Theatre is extending its run of this year’s productions after a successful opening on Thursday, March 27.

The two productions, Here on the Flight Path and Lunenburg, are comedies written by Canadian playwright Norm Foster. To accommodate demand, additional performances for Here on the Flight Path have been scheduled for April 25, and a 2 p.m. Sunday matinee on April 27. Lunenburg will have extra performances on April 24 and 26.

The theatre holds shows six days a week.

“We love it when people attend early in the run, and indeed, they are supporting the fundraising productions that way,” said producer Anne Laughlin.

All performances until April 15 are sold out, and many shows after that are nearly full. “Matinee performances have been sold out for some time now, so we expect the added matinee on April 27 will sell quickly,” Laughlin added. “For the best choice of dates, try to get your tickets organized right away.”

Miracle Theatre is donating the entire proceeds of its two professional productions to the Prince George Seniors’ Emergency Fund. The fund aims to assist elderly community members struggling with basic necessities and housing.

“We are so pleased that theatre-goers are choosing to see both plays! We doubled our efforts this year to boost the funds that could be donated,” said Ted Price, director of the theatre. “It is gratifying that people are also doubling their theatre attendance.”

Tickets for the shows are priced at $39.50 and are available for purchase at Books & Company or by calling 250-563-6637.
