Story Institute Prince George is hosting a high school Improv League competition series in May.

There’s a call out for high school improv teams to join a friendly competition hosted by the Story Institute PG.

Monday nights in May will see teams of up to eight players enter the contest for fun and fortune presented by Northern BC’s premier film and TV acting academy.

Each of eight teams will compete every week taking their turn on stage and as part of an interactive audience who will help the Story Institute judges award points as the competition heats up.

The ultimate winning team will be chosen during the Improv League finals Monday, May 29 at the Story Institute PG’s downtown location at 1299 Third Avenue from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Weekly prizes include film and television related memorabilia and media. The grand prize for the ultimate winning team will include a $1,000 scholarship for each team member, applicable to any of Story Institute’s full-time diploma programs.

The Story Institute Improv League is the first in a series of performance opportunities for local youth to be hosted by Story Institute PG and is sure to be an exciting experience for everyone involved.

Entry fees for the Story Institute Improv League are $100 per team or $50 for early bird teams who register before April 28.

For more information about the tournament or to register a team call Chantal at 778-222-8677 or email James at [email protected].
