The 2023 Prince George Pride Picnic is scheduled to take place at Rainbow Park on July 9.
The event, hosted by the Northern BC Queer Connection Society, runs from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event returned in 2022, after being on hiatus since 2019.
“Every year, Northern BC Queer Connection actively fundraises to host a free, family-friendly event that brings together the community in celebration of Pride,” the society’s Facebook page says. “Cover yourself in rainbows and bring your chairs, picnic baskets and sunscreen! Alternative transportation like bikes, skateboards etc. is encouraged.”
The event will feature live music, food trucks, games, crafts and access to community resources.
