General auditions are being held for Theatre NorthWest productions for artists in Northern BC on March 13.
“This is the second time we have done auditions in the community,” Marnie Hamagami, artistic producer at Theatre NorthWest (TNW), said.
“The first time was in February of 2020 - just before, well, you know.”
Theatre NorthWest is committed to supporting the community.
“It is important that we see, and when possible, hire, our local artists,” Melissa Glover, one of three new artistic associates at TNW, said.
General auditions will take place on March 13, with call backs as necessary.
TNW will also be hosting a free workshop March 6 with information on how to prepare for a professional theatre audition.
“When it comes to auditions, practice makes perfect and I think we’re all a little out of practice these days,” Anna Russell, another of the three artistic associates, said.
“We want to make sure our local artists have all the tools they need to be successful both here and in the wider theatre community.”
