Ellapsium: master & Helm, by Jared Owens, 2016, is one of the works featured in Marking Time at Two Rivers Gallery. A virtual artists' talk is happening Sept. 12 via the gallery's Facebook page.

Two Rivers Gallery will host a virtual artists’ talk on Sept. 12 with some of the contributors to the current Marking Time: Art in the Age of Mass Incarceration exhibit.

James Yaya Hough, Gary Harrell and Ashley Hunt will be taking part in the streaming session, which will be available via the gallery’s Facebook page. It begins at 7:30 p.m.

The exhibit, featuring works by artists who are, or have been, incarcerated, alongside artists who have not been incarcerated but whose practices expose aspects of the carceral state, opened April 26 and runs until Oct. 6.

Curated by Nicole R. Fleetwood, NYU professor of media, culture, and communication, it’s a travelling exhibit that has been seen across North America. It is jointly presented at Two Rivers Gallery and the Robert Frederick Rotunda Gallery at UNBC.
