There are now 15 Site C workers who are self-isolating at the work camp outside Fort St. John.

Today (July 20), there were 1,367 workers reported at the camp, and the number of those in quarantine has jumped from five since Friday (July 17).

That's when BC Hydro confirmed the first case of COVID-19 at the project site.

BC Hydro officials could not be immediately reached for comment this morning.

The company has regularly reported the number of workers at camp and those in isolation since March.

The highest number of workers reported in self-isolation at any one time was on March 23, with 16.

Workers who need to self-isolate are quarantined to a 30-room dorm at the camp.

BC Hydro has said it will not move workers into the city to self-isolate, and another 120 rooms in four other dorms can be used if needed.

It says workers with symptoms of sneezing, sore throat, muscle aches, headaches, cough fever or difficulty breathing are required to self-isolate for 10 days.
