A light snow falls as Santa returns to Prince George

Spectators expressed hopes the parade will become an annual event again

With relatively warm weather and light snow falling conditions were perfect for the return of the Santa Claus parade Sunday, providing a spectacular end to the Festival of Trees.

The parade route, down Brunswick Street to Seventh Avenue before turning up Quebec Street and returning to Second Avenue, was lined with hundreds of people who enjoyed the mild winter conditions, a welcome change from the cold temperatures of last week.

The light snow falling helped the ambience of the event, even as the snow of the past four days continued to pile up.
