Local skiers got a treat when the Hart Ski Hill opened Saturday with fresh powder on the 22 acres of ski and snowboard trails just 15 minutes from downtown Prince George.
Conditions were perfect and many took advantage over the weekend.
With the advent of warmer weather and rain this week the hill will be closed so they can preserve as much snow as possible until the temperature drops again.
