A special air quality advisory for Prince George has been ended.
"Elevated pollution levels are no longer expected or have moved out of the area," officials said in a notice issued shortly before 9:30 a.m.
The advisory had been in effect since about midday Wednesday as smoke from the forest fires in the Northwest Territories and northern Alberta settled over the city and produced a haze in the sky.
