Cpl. Craig Douglass with the Prince George RCMP demonstrates how to input a bicycle's information into the 529 Garage app on Tuesday at the downtown RCMP Detachment. It was announced that the City of Prince George and Prince George RCMP have partnered with a community based online service called 529 Garage in an effort to prevent bike theft, and reunite owners with their stolen bikes.

Local RCMP and the City of Prince George have partnered with Project 529 a community based app where in about four minutes an RCMP member can help sign up a person and their bike to make recovery of their bike more likely if stolen.

Local RCMP members have already attended Ride Don't Hide and other community events to help register people and are planning to attend many events throughout the summer to offer the service to the community.
