A fire blamed in unattended candles caused $80,000 in damage to a home on the 8000 block of St. John Crescent Wednesday afternoon.
City firefighters from three halls were called to the single-family home at about 3 p.m. They found flames in the basement and quickly had the fire put out.
Nobody was injured. Damage is estimated at $80,000.
