There seems to be a small positive when it comes to talks between the University of Northern British Columbia Faculty Association (UNBCFA) and the school.
In the latest update on their website, the UNBCFA say they reconvened with UNBC on Tuesday (Nov. 12) where they hoped the university would have more proposals but realized they had no new ideas.
They say they made a creative proposal, but it was rejected and prompted the UNBCFA to present another.
Despite creative efforts by our @UNBCFA team, we remain without a fair deal. See the most recent bargaining update here: https://t.co/FkbJ3bxlZY

An all-new proposal was presented by faculty yesterday (Nov. 13), hoping to gain progress at 10 a.m.
"The Employer then costed it until about 3:30 pm, when they reported that it showed promise," the update reads.
"It was very encouraging to know that by the end of the day yesterday, both parties were tabling proposals within similar monetary envelopes. However, we still need to agree on the structure of the future salary framework, and on the salaries of SLIs and Librarians."
The association says they're hopeful they can convince the employer that salaries of SLIs and Librarians also need to be addressed just like the professors.
"As you know, a number of non-monetary issues are still unresolved," the update finishes. "We are prepared to stay at the table for as long as it takes to achieve an agreement."
The UNBCFA officially started striking one week ago today (Nov. 7).
It has now been one week since the @UNBCFA began striking because of no deal with @UNBC. There is still no deal as of this morning. When contacted yesterday, @UNBC told @PGMatters they were still bargaining but could provide nothing more #unbcfa #unbc #cityofpg #education #learn
