If you missed Canadian Wrestling Elite’s (CWE) 10th Anniversary tour in Prince George back in April, there’ll be another chance to witness a show later this year.
The national entertainment company has scheduled a second stop on the 2019 calendar for B.C.’s northern capital known as ‘The Juice is on the Loose,’ which will include a new cast of characters and a similar fundraising initiative, with also a possibility of helping those who wrestle hunger every day.
Local organizer Stuart Brown tells PrinceGeorgeMatters he’s trying to get a deal going where the show can also take food donations.
“I am currently trying to find enough sponsorship money that we can let people in by a non-perishable food donation,” he said.
However, in order to make that possible for Prince George residents, Brown explains he would need at least $4,000.
“It would cover all costs for the wrestling company. If I can find that then, as mentioned, tickets will be by non-perishable food items. Thinking two per ticket and four for a VIP ticket and we would donate all the food to St. Vincent de Paul.”
Much like the 10th-anniversary show, ‘The Juice is on the Loose’ will also act as a fundraiser once again for Prince George’s Aurora Navy League cadets.
All concession proceeds will go to the NLCC #142 division.
They received $1,193.85 from April’s spectacle to help send kids aged nine and 11 down to Stanley Park in Vancouver for a camp on an active military base.
Headlining the November contest is Mexican wrestling legend Juventud Guerrera, also known as ‘The Juice’ and hence the tour’s name, who has performed as high as the WWE as a two-time cruiserweight fighting champion.
Prince George will be the 11th stop on CWE’s latest tour, taking place Saturday, Nov. 16 at the Connaught Youth Centre on 17 Avenue with a 7 p.m. bell time.
A VIP meet-and-greet is scheduled at 6 p.m. the same day.
More information and tickets are available on the CWE website.
In terms of Brown’s alter ego making another appearance, he said ‘The Mauler’s’ decision will come later as he waits for a hernia operation.
