After the success of hosting an event in 2018, a competition for Canadian motocross racing glory is gearing for a reappearance in Prince George.
The Rockstar Triple Crown, Canada’s largest professional motocross racing competition ever assembled, is already in full throttle for 2019 and will be in B.C.’s northern capital next month for Round Two of its seven-round tour.
Blackwater MX Park, run by the Prince George Motocross Association (PGMA), will be the track for dozens of competitive riders.
All of whom are looking to cross the finish line first in hopes of gaining enough points in pursuit of the $100,000 Triple Crown jackpot by mid-October.
Last year, Blackwater MX Park hosted Round Three of the motocross tour, getting the upgrade to Round Two for 2019 after the tour’s opening race in Calgary a week earlier.

The Prince George race takes place Saturday, June 8 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The track is located near the intersection of Blackwater and Shesta Lake Roads, which is southwest off Highway 16 west of Prince George, and a few clicks south of West Lake Provincial Park.
More details and tickets are available on the Rockstar Triple Crown website.
The competition is governed and organized by Jetwerx, consisting of three disciplines; arenacross, motocross, and supercross.
Prince George is also one of two B.C. stops en route to the final race in Hamilton, Ontario; Abbotsford hosted the first leg of the arenacross tour in early April.
