The Canfor Leisure Pool is now closed for annual maintenance.
It will reopen Jan. 5.
The closure happens in December as swimming lessons are on a break, the city states. As well, the timing causes the least disruption for local swimming clubs. During the closure the Aquatic Centre will operate under extended hours.
The pools will be drained and deep-cleaned. Scheduled upgrades include tile repairs and replacement, the installation of new grating and regular maintenance.
