City fire crews were on hand as children were led out of the YMCA Park House Care and Learning Centre in downtown Prince George Thursday, Jan. 30.
The situation was later called a false alarm in the parking structure next to the centre, which is next to the Park House condo building, by firefighters at the scene.
An alarm went off in one of the buildings, located at the eastern part of Sixth just south of George Street, just before 3 p.m.
The children were taken to another building to stay out of the elements before taken back to the daycare at about 3:15 p.m.
