Serial killer Cody Legebokoff is the most recent focus of an American podcaster known as Court Junkie Jillian LP from Chicago.
In 2014, a Prince George jury found Legebokoff guilty of first-degree murder in the deaths of Loren Donn Leslie, a legally-blind 15-year-old girl, Jill Stacey Stuchenko and Cynthia Maas, both 35, and Natasha Lynn Montgomery, 23.
The podcast features Citizen reporter Mark Nielsen, who provided the paper's extensive court coverage during the Legebokoff trial.
The podcast, called The Case & Trial of One of Canada's Youngest Serial Killers, is one hour and 20 minutes long.
"She describes Legebokoff as a young man who has his life together, perhaps more so than most, and the victims as vulnerable women who made for easy targets," said Nielsen. "Perhaps the most interesting aspect is the audio recordings of his arrest - particularly his belligerence when told he's been arrested for murder."
Nielsen said he was interviewed for about 40 minutes.
"From that she teased what, for me, were the most impactful moments - his then-girlfriend confronting him at the Vanderhoof RCMP detachment, the amount of blood and other forensic evidence that was found in his home and on his clothing, the turmoil for the families - particularly Louanne Montgomery, Natasha Montgomery's mother - and the general animosity shown towards him on the day he was sentenced."
