City parks open and an update on their public washrooms, too

City of Prince George has announced that seasonal parks are open in time for Earth Day. Along with that friendly reminder comes crucial information that may provide some relief to park users.

City of Prince George has announced that seasonal parks are open in time for Earth Day.

Along with that friendly reminder comes crucial information that may provide some relief to park users.

Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park washrooms nearest to 17th Avenue and washrooms near the Exploration Place are now open.

The list also includes the facilities at Duchess Park playground.

But beware, while the beach volleyball court is open on a first-come-first-served basis, the washroom is not available as the water lines are being repaired.

The gates at Nechako Riverside Park and Carrie Jane Gray Park opened earlier this month.

Masich Place Stadium is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. this month and from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. starting May 1.

Connaught Hill is expected to open in the next couple of weeks.

Crews are busy sprucing it up to ensure its in tip-top shape for visitors this spring and summer.
