College of New Caledonia remains open to students even as it continues to host forest fire evacuees.

"We are very excited to welcome students back after the summer break," CNC president Henry Reiser said in a press release issued Monday.

"Our doors are always open to serve and support them, whether it be to visit campus amenities such as the library, the bookstore, academic advising or pay fees."

They're asked to use the main doors on 22nd Avenue and to identify themselves. They will then be directed as to where they need to go.

Parking for students is available on the west side of the building, as the main parking lot is reserved for evacuees and volunteers.

Important dates for students include a final fee payment date of August 16, along with orientation and first day of classes for many programs at the Prince George campus on September 5.
