After seven days spent on Highway 16 after leaving Prince George last week, law enforcement and emergency services personnel taking part in the Cops For Cancer Tour de North reached Prince Rupert on Thursday (Sept. 21).
A partnership between The Canadian Cancer Society and local first responders, the annual event raised $150,000 that will be directed towards life-saving childhood cancer research and a national support system for children affected by cancer and their families.
Throughout the Tour de North participants made tour stops at events across Northern BC to engage communities and schools en route to raising funds to save and improve the lives of children diagnosed with cancer, both locally and across the country.
