The Cops for Cancer Tour de North is an annual event in which RCMP officers from four detachments and emergency service personnel cycle across northern B.C. for seven days.
This year, the event aims to raise $150,000 for childhood cancer research and support services through the Canadian Cancer Society, including programs like Camp Goodtimes. So far, the event has raised $4,191.
Riders will travel from Prince George to Prince Rupert over the course of the seven days, supported by volunteers and community partners such as BCHS and Fisheries and Oceans, among others.
Since its inception, the event has raised $56 million to increase survival rates and support children living with cancer, as well as their families.
The Cops for Cancer Tour de North 2025 team and Steering Committee are excited to kick off this year’s fundraising with a partnership with the Spruce Kings.
This Saturday, March 8, tickets for the game against the Langley Rivermen will be $12 for adults and $5 for children, which includes a pop and popcorn.
To support the Tour de North team’s fundraising efforts, call the Spruce Kings box office at 250-564-1747 and mention “Cops for Cancer” when purchasing tickets for Saturday’s game.
Tickets can be picked up at the Will Call office before the game.
