Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation received $182,526.14 from Costco Prince George employees on Tuesday.

Of the total, $82,526.14 was raised through the big box store's Children's Miracle Network campaign and was topped up with a further $100,000 from Costco Wholesale in recognition the Prince George outlet having one of Western Canada's highest donation increases year-over-year.

This would not have been possible without the great job and efforts from our employees as well as the generous donations from our members and vendors," Costco Prince George general manager Todd Forsyth.

The money raised will go toward purchase of three General Electric Giraffe incubator carestations for the neonatal intensive care unit at University Hospital of Northern B.C.
