Renting a suite at CN Centre for the next Prince George Cougars hockey season will cost seven per cent more.
City council unanimously approved the across-the-board hike for 13 suites available to the public on Monday to bring them in line with "market demand."
Fees now range from as high as $17,809.63 plus the purchase of 16 Cougars season tickets to as low as $13,030.55 plus 11 Cougars season tickets, representing increases of $1,132.41 and $819.76 respectively. The maintenance fee will stand pat at $500.
There is a "very long waiting list," for the suites, civic facilities and events director Andy Beesley told council, adding the city receives a 15 per cent commission on the Cougars' season tickets.
