The couple who first reported a possible sighting of the missing Alberta couple's Hyundai Tucson
in Prince George returned to the RCMP detachment in order for a more indepth interview to be conducted by the Serious Crimes Unit.
The Prince George RCMP would like to thank the media for their assistance in having these witnesses contact police.
The police would like to remind everyone the sighting of the Tucson bearing Alberta licence plate ZPK-289 are as yet unconfirmed.
Although police believe the witnesses to be reliable, it cannot be said the vehicle was ever actually in Prince George.
The tips are sent to investigators in Alberta where the investigation of the mission couple is being conducted.
Marie Ann McCann, 77, and her husband Kyle Thomas McCann, 78, went on a trip in their motorhome July 3 and have not been heard from since. The motorhome was found burned in a remote forested area west of Edmonton and the Tucson they were towing behind them was missing.
