For the third time since 2012, the Prince George Spruce Kings were dominant on a tight weekend road trip.
The red, white, and blue won three games in less than 48 hours with victories in Coquitlam Friday (4-2, Feb. 8), Langley on Saturday (6-0, Feb. 9), and in Surrey Sunday afternoon (4-1, Feb. 10).
Prince George has now achieved a streak of eight consecutive wins in a row, bringing their overall record to 35-12-1-5 and picking up crucial points in the race for the Mainland Division crown.
They sit a mere five points behind the B.C. Hockey League-leading Chilliwack Chiefs (40-12-1-0).

Goaltender Logan Neaton’s record-breaking season rambles on, picking up wins number 28 and 29, which included his fifth shutout of the season.
The 19-year-old leads all BCHL netminders in wins (29) and goals-against-average (1.89) in 43 starts, while also ranking third in save-percentage (0.916).
Keenan Rancier was between the pipes in Sunday’s contest, stopping 33 of 34 shots to earn his fourth career BCHL win, and his third as a Spruce King.
Forward Dustin Manz had a stellar weekend performance himself, racking up seven points in the three wins, including five assists.
The American import leads the team with 63 points in 53 games thus far (29 goals, 34 assists), matching Ethan De Jong’s team-high total last year.
There are only five games left in the 2018-19 regular season for Prince George within nine days, which includes three home games.
The Spruce Kings have a date on Valentine’s Day this Thursday (Feb. 14) with the West Kelowna Warriors, 7 p.m. from the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena (RMCA).
Three days later, Prince George will be on the road again to the Lower Mainland for mid-day meetings in Chilliwack and Surrey.
Both of those games begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday (Feb. 17) and Family Day Monday (Feb. 18).
