The ongoing quest to bring a school of engineering to the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) took a major step Saturday when the board of governors gave approval in principle to bringing programs in civil and mechanical engineering to the university.
The move means UNBC will begin to formally lobby the provincial government to provide the funding to establish the programs.
