A fire early morning Monday caused an estimated $50,000 damage to a 2200-block Redwood Street home, but it could have been worse.
A "quick attack" kept the blaze confined to the room where it broke out, Prince George Fire Rescue Asst. Chief Fred Wilkinson said in a statement.
Firefighters from three halls were called to the scene shortly after 6:30 a.m. and found heavy smoke coming from the home's front door.
There were no injuries to fire personal or the public. Cause of the fire is currently under investigation
