A series of live fire training exercise are planned at the Prince George Airport between April 19 and April 28.
The training exercises are planned for April 19, April 23, April 27 and April 28, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
“Locals are reminded these fires pose no threat to the public or surrounding areas,” a statement issued by the airport on Thursday said. “These fires are held in self-contained training facilities under controlled circumstances and are part of ongoing recurrent fire training and certification. These fires may produce dark smoke in and around the airport area.”
