Flooding in Prince George after thunderstorm

There's a 40 per cent chance of rain, with the possibility of another thunderstorm, Friday

The heavy rains that fell during an afternoon thunderstorm on Thursday, July 25 caused flooding in some parts of the city.

One trouble spot was the intersection of 15th Avenue and Winnipeg Street, which saw at least one motorist stranded after trying to get through the floodwater.

Water started to subside shortly after the storm ended but the street was only one of many that flooded during the short but intense rainfall.

There's a 40 per cent chance of rain, with the possibility of another thunderstorm, Friday, with a high of 21 C.

It'll be 25 C and sunny Saturday with an overnight low of 11 C and a mix of sun and cloud Sunday with a high of 21 C.

Rain is in the forecast for Monday.
