Be careful if you’re heading north on Highway 97.

DriveBC is reporting that Highway 97 is experiencing flooding conditions. The impacted section of road is 24 km north of Prince George, between North Fraser Roads FSR and Barney Road FSR. Drive B.C. says that drivers should be on the lookout for traffic control.

Due to the large amounts of rainfall over the past few weeks, highway maintenance contractor YRB Fort George put out a flood warning this morning (Nov.17) between Mitchell and Summit Lake Road on Highway 97. YRB then updated the warning adding that flooding was specific to the Tay Creek location on Highway 97.
