You want to try flying? The Royal Canadian Air Cadets Squadron is offering residents a chance to try out their flight simulators at Pine Centre Mall this weekend, and help the cadets goal of flying across the country. The public will be charged $1 per minute and $1 per aircraft to use the various aircraft simulators with funds going to support the local squadron. Flying times are 9:30 a.m. to 6
p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
About 70 per cent of Canadian pilots were youth members of air cadets squadron which stimulates interest in aviation and aeronautics as well as developing citizenship, leadership and physical fitness. Call 250-981-4147 for more information.
