He then moved on to play his entire collegiate career at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
With the Nanooks, he compiled 55 points in 127 games, including 17 goals.
Staley then travelled to Europe for stents in German and Italian hockey leagues.

Staley’s mother Pam has set up a GoFundMe page for Chad’s memorial.
“There are no words right now other than we are in still in shock,” the page reads.
“We appreciate the love and compassion we have received already. So many of you want to help and right now we just have no idea what we are facing.”
