Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Prince George and Stuart-Nechako region, warning residents of freezing rain on Sunday morning.
Drivers and pedestrians are being urged to be cautious on roads, highways and sidewalks.
A strong low pressure system is expected to move across the north-central interior, bringing patches of freezing rain. The risk of freezing rain will taper to showers around noon on Sunday.
